Any event requiring more than 10 parking permits is considered a “Special Event” and will require the host to coordinate their guests’ parking with the Parking Customer Services office. Please note that any weekday, daytime event requiring more than 10 permits will only be issued a CPM parking code, Palmer visitor parking vouchers, or they will need to request a parking attendant for the NC100 parking structure located on North Campus.
For an employee based event, departments are not able to purchase parking for the employees, per SPG 601.21 Employees can purchase a daily permit from Parking Customer Services (detailed here) or utilize the free parking options on campus.
Departments within University Hospitals may obtain passes for their guests/visitors to park in the patient parking areas through the Parking Attendant Services office.
Departments are fully responsible for the proper use, management and security of the parking permits/coupons/passes obtained from Logistics, Transportation & Parking (LTP). Misuse of the guest parking options will result in immediate termination of the department’s participation in the parking program. U-M staff are strictly prohibited from using these parking options.
