Welcome back to campus! Active construction around campus is creating some heavy traffic and slowdowns, impacting commute times and University bus schedules. Even with the increased Commuter Bus Service, some delays are expected until the remainder of the roadwork wraps up.
How to Navigate the First Few Weeks
- Expect delays: Bus routes and local traffic are moving slower during morning and late-afternoon peak hours.
- Check real-time routes: Download or open Magic Bus to track live shuttle movements rather than relying on standard timetable estimates.
- Add 10–15 minutes: Give yourself extra buffer time if you have time-sensitive classes, exams, or meetings on North or Central Campus.
- Consider alternative drop-offs: If you use rideshares or get dropped off, aim for stops a block or two away from main construction bottlenecks to avoid getting stuck in line.
