Parking Guidance System

The P4 parking structure at Michigan Medicine is now equipped with the Parking Guidance System (PGS), designed to optimize the parking experience for patients and visitors. The system is available on the three lowest levels, which are designated for patient and visitor parking.

Real-Time Parking Availability:

For your convenience, real-time parking availability for the Patient/Visitor parking in P4 is shown below. This allows you to check the current number of available spaces before you arrive:

How the Parking Guidance System Works:

  • Real-Time Availability: As you approach the P4 parking structure, you’ll notice a digital display at the entrance showing the current number of parking spaces available in real time. This allows you to immediately decide whether to enter or proceed to alternate parking.
  • Easy Navigation: Once inside, follow the clear, user-friendly signs pointing you toward open spaces.
    • Green arrows indicate available spaces
    • Blue arrows indicate available Accessible (ADA) spaces
    • Red arrows indicate occupied spaces
  • Efficient Parking: The PGS not only shows you where to find an open parking space but also helps to manage the traffic flow within the parking structure. This means less time driving in the structure and more time getting to where you need to be.

Should you have any questions or require assistance, our parking ambassadors and parking attendants are available to guide you through the use of the PGS.
