You may appeal a citation by one of the following options:

Enclose the citation number, your return address, preferred email address, and a detailed letter thoroughly explaining the situation. A Parking Referee will respond with the appeal decision via US Mail or email. If the appeal is denied, and you are required to pay the citation, additional time will be granted to pay the fee.

Payments
Parking citations may be paid by one of the following options. Fine amounts increase after 14 days. Failure to respond within 14 days will result in a default judgment against you and additional costs. Failure to pay a default judgment may result in legal action for collection. Four (4) or more unpaid citations in default may result in:
- Impoundment of your vehicle
- Loss of your right to renew your driver’s license
- Issuance of a warrant for your arrest

Pay in person
At the City of Ann Arbor Customer Service Center located at 301 E. Huron Street in the Ann Arbor Municipal Center (City Hall). Short term metered parking is located on the 300 block of E. Ann Street directly behind City Hall and in a metered lot adjacent to the building. You may also pay by drop box (include ticket in envelope). Only money orders and checks accepted in drop box 24 hours/7 days a week at the north end lobby drop box or the drive up box on 300 E. Ann Street. Please record ticket or plate number on your payment.

Phone (866) 890-4982. MasterCard and Visa accepted. *Please note when using this payment method, you must pay all of your outstanding citations. The system will not allow you to pick just one citation for payment.
