Online Resources and Tips
- New staff can learn more about parking and transportation options on the Logistics, Transportation & Parking website as there is a video for new Michigan Medicine employees.
- New staff can use free parking options, like East Medical Campus or Park & Ride lots (like NC37 Green Road Park & Ride as mentioned above). Note that the East Medical Campus parking & transportation are both free and for Michigan Medicine staff only. Use Google Maps for directions to East Medical Campus Parking.
- Staff interested in purchasing a parking permit can go online on their first day (or thereafter) to order a permit. Any AVI style permit (Blue or Yellow) is shipped out two day UPS the business day after it is ordered. Please note that for anyone with on-call responsibilities, an AVI permit is strongly recommended.
- Staff can also stop by a Parking Customer Services location to purchase a parking permit. Please note that the 523 S. Division has more staff available and generally has shorter lines. Ordering online is recommended.
- We do not recommend sending large groups of new staff to the UH South office all at one time. Each customer transaction takes 5-10 minutes. We strongly encourage new staff to avoid the line and order online.
- There are a number of special parking programs available for Michigan Medicine employees.
The University of Michigan is committed to providing you with a seamless transition to your new role. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Parking Customer Services team.
