Beginning on Monday, May 5, 2025, State Street will be closed to traffic in both directions north of South University Avenue and south of East William Street. Commuter North buses will be on detour.

Commuter North – 1 DETOUR

(Outbound/towards Glazier Way)

DETOUR 1 – State Street Closure

May 5 – Mid-November; All Day

After servicing the IM Building, buses will:

  • Turn left on State

  • Turn left on Packard

  • Turn right on Division

  • Service a temporary stop on Division at Jefferson

  • Turn right on Huron

  • Turn right on Fletcher

  • Service the Rackham bus stop on Fletcher

  • Turn left on North University

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the Law Quad, Michigan Union, and School of Kinesiology Building stops during this detour.
