Bonisteel Closures

The next phase of the Bonisteel construction is scheduled to begin on Monday 8/21. The main difference from the prior phase is the fact that Beal will be closed between Bonisteel and Fuller.


Commuter North – 1 DETOUR

DETOUR 1 – Bonisteel Closure – Beal Closure between Murfin and Fuller

August 21 – August 25; All Day

(Outbound/towards Glazier Way)

After servicing Mitchell Field, buses will:

  • Turn left on Bonisteel

  • Turn left on Murfin

  • Service the bus stop at Pierpont Commons

  • Turn right on Hayward

  • Service the temporary stop on Hayward at Beal

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the Art & Architecture, Cooley, and FXB stops during this detour.


Commuter South – 1 DETOURS

DETOUR 1 – Bonisteel Closure – Beal Closure Between Murfin and Fuller

August 21 – August 25; All Day

(Inbound/towards SC-7)

After servicing the VA stop on Fuller, buses will:

  • Proceed on Fuller

  • Service the AAATA bus shelter on Fuller before Bonisteel

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the Ford Library, Cooley, and Pierpont stops during this detour.


Northwood – 1 DETOUR

DETOUR 1 – Bonisteel Closure – Beal Closure Between Murfin and Fuller

August 21 – August 25; All Day

(Inbound/towards CCTC)

After servicing the Hubbard/Hayward inbound, buses will:

  • Service a temporary stop on Hayward at Beal

  • Turn left on Murfin

  • Service the inbound bus shelter at Pierpont

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the FXB, Cooley and Pierpont bus stops during this detour.


North-East Shuttle – 1 DETOUR

DETOUR 1 – Beal Closure between Bonisteel and Fuller

August 21 – August 25; All Day

(Inbound/towards Michigan Medicine)

After servicing the inbound stop at Hubbard/Hayward, buses will:

  • Service a temporary stop on Hubbard past Beal

  • Turn left on Murfin

  • Turn right on Bonisteel

  • Service the bus shelter on Bonisteel

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the FXB and BSB during this detour. Buses will need to service the VA hospital.


(Outbound/towards EAAHC)

After servicing Mitchell Field, or the VA depending on your route variation, buses will:

  • Head north on Bonisteel

  • Turn left on Murfin

  • Service the Pierpont bus stop

  • Turn right on Hayward

  • Service the temporary stop on Hayward before Beal

  • Resume regular route

There will be no service to the Ford Library and the FXB during this detour.
