Transit Alert Detail

Move-In activities will close a number of streets on and around campus Wednesday through Friday, August 28 – August 30, 2019. All University bus routes will be affected. Details of these impacts are listed below.

MOVE-IN ACTIVITIES WILL BE IN FULL OPERATION DURING THE FOLLOWING HOURS

Wednesday 8/28 – Approx 7am to 10pm

Thursday 8/29 – Approx 7am to 6pm

Friday 8/30 – Approx 8am to 6pm

Bursley-Baits buses will observe their regular route with the exception of evening northbound service on Observatory during Move-In hours.

Commuter South buses will follow regular route to Taubman, then turn:

• Right on Simpson (serving the temporary stop at Old Mott)

• Left on East Med

• Left on Fuller

• Left (east) on Ann to Zina Pitcher

• Right (south) on Zina Pitcher and resume regular route at BSRB to CCTC

• FROM CCTC: Continue on N. University to Geddes Rd.

• Right on Washtenaw

• Right on Hill

• Right onto East University and resume regular route at Shapiro

Medical Center personnel are encouraged to park at Glazier Way or in the Orange lots on North Campus and utilize the Med Express / Commuter North routes during the duration of the detour.

Commuter North buses will follow regular route to Zina Pitcher, then:

• Left (west) on Catherine to West Medical Center Drive

• Right (north) on West Medical Center to East Medical Center, serving a temporary bus stop near P1

• Right on East Medical Center Drive

• Right on Simpson serving the TEMP stop at Old Mott

• Left on East Medical Center Drive resuming regular route at Markley

There will be no service to the stops at Couzens during Move-In hours. Medical Center personnel are encouraged to utilize Orange lot parking on North Campus during the duration of the detour.

Crisler Express buses will follow regular route to Taubman and then:

• Follow East Medical Center Drive to Simpson Drive at MOTT hospital and turn

• Right (north) on Simpson Drive, observing a temporary stop near the Old Mott entrance

• Follow Simpson Drive around the parking structure back to East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive

• Left on Fuller

• Right on Huron, resuming regular route

Med Express buses will follow regular route to Taubman and then:

• Follow East Medical Center Drive to Simpson Drive at MOTT hospital and turn

• Right (north) on Simpson Drive, observing a temporary stop near the Old Mott entrance

• Follow Simpson Drive around the parking structure back to East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive and resume regular route as a Commuter North, starting from the Mott / Markley stop.

There will be no service to the stops at P4, CVC or BSRB during Move-In hours. Passengers going to BSRB are encouraged to ride the Commuter South route.

• NOTE: Extra Med Express trips have been scheduled since Commuter buses will not be able to serve East Medical Center Drive

Northwood Inbound (toward Central Campus):

• Regular route to Fuller to Glen, serving the stop at Glen and Catherine

• Left (east) on Huron to Washtenaw to Geddes

• Right (west) on Geddes to regular route

There will be no service to the stops at Couzens, Alice Lloyd or Stockwell during Move-In hours.

Northwood Outbound (toward North Campus):

• Regular Route

North-East Shuttle buses will observe their Zina Pitcher timepoint at the Taubman bus stop and then:

• Follow East Medical Center Drive to Simpson Drive at MOTT hospital and turn

• Right (north) on Simpson Drive, observing a temporary stop near the Old Mott Hospital entrance

• Follow Simpson Drive around the parking structure back to East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive

• Right (east) on Fuller Road and resume regular route

There will be no service to the stops at P4, CVC, Zina Pitcher, Medical School or MSRB II during Move-In hours.

Oxford Shuttle buses will operate on an abbreviated route during Move-In. Buses departing the CCTC will:

• continue east on Geddes to Oxford and turn

• Right (south) on Oxford, serving a temporary stop on Oxford at South University

• Right (west) on South University

• Right (north) on State

• Right (east) on North University to CCTC

There will be no service to the stops at East Quad, Henderson House or the regular stop at Oxford during Move-In.

Wall Street Express AM (before 6am) buses will follow regular route.

Wall Street Express PM (after 7pm) buses will follow regular route to Taubman Center, then:

• continue south on East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Right (north) on Simpson Drive, serving a temporary stop near the Old Mott Hospital entrance

• Follow Simpson Drive around the parking structure back to East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive and resume regular route

There will be no service to the stops at P4 or CVC during Move-In hours.

Wall Street-NIB buses headed toward North Ingalls will follow regular route from Wall St to Taubman and then:

• Follow East Medical Center Drive to Simpson Drive at MOTT hospital and turn

• Right (north) on Simpson Drive, observing a temporary stop near the Old Mott entrance

• Follow Simpson Drive around the parking structure back to East Medical Center Drive and turn

• Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive

• Left (west) on West Medical Center Drive

• Right (west) on Catherine and resume regular route.

Buses will observe their timepoint at NIB and go directly to the Wall St deck from there. Buses will depart NIB and turn:

• Left (west) on Kingsley

• Left (south) on State

• Right (west) on Kingsley

• Right (north) on Division

• Continue onto Broadway

• Right (south) on Wall Street

• Left (north) on Nielsen Ct at Wall Street structure.

There will be no service to the stops at P4, CVC or Zina Pitcher during the Move-In hours.
