University of Michigan Transportation Services offers curb-to-curb Paratransit services for students, faculty, and staff who are unable to use the campus bus system. The Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) certifies eligibility for the service for students and the Disability Equity Office for all non-students (staff, faculty, community members, guests).
This is a year round service that operates on weekdays only; service is not offered on Saturdays or Sundays.
Rides are provided within a .75 mile radius of University bus routes, as well as the East Medical Campus Health Centers and Domino’s Farms satellite facilities. Pick-up times can be scheduled as early as 6:00 A.M. and as late as 10:30 P.M. Overflow rides and all rides before 7:40 A.M and after 6:30 P.M. are provided through a contracted vendor (currently Golden Limousine).
To apply, students should work with Services for Students with Disabilities while all other potential riders should contact the Disability Equity Office.
Riders can request a paratransit ride by contacting Paratransit Services below after approval from SSD or the Disability Equity Office.
During Fall break, Winter break, Spring break, Spring and Summer terms, all trips are booked directly with Golden Limousine (734-668-8282).
