The University of Michigan’s Logistics, Transportation and Parking is proud to announce the arrival of EV buses to its fleet.
Three 40-foot EV buses and one 60-foot articulated EV bus have made their way from the manufacturer to the new Transportation Center on Dean Road, located on North Campus.
While preparing for these buses has been ongoing for several years, including incorporating their charging needs into the design for the new transportation center, the team has eagerly been awaiting delivery. Due to long supply chain delays and safety recalls the first order of buses is finally on campus.
Once commissioning is complete, LTP plans to deploy the new vehicles for regular service this fall.
A second duplicate order is still scheduled to arrive in May 2024.
