Spring Commencement activities will occur from Thursday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5. Please note that North, Central, and Ross Athletic Campus parking areas will be made available for guest parking for the days surrounding commencement.

Church, Fletcher (staff area only), Hill, Palmer (visitor & staff area), Thayer & Thompson Structures

  • Thursday, May 2 – Sunday May 5, the Entry/Exit gates will remain open.

Ross Athletic, Central & North Campus Surface Lots

  • Parking enforcement will be suspended from 6 a.m. Thursday, May 2 – end of day Sunday, May 5.

Starting Friday, May 3, the following lots will be controlled for commencement parking needs only so we ask all vehicles (both personal and fleet) vacate the following lots at the listed times from Friday, May 3 until 5 pm Sunday, May 5:

  • Vacate by 5 pm Friday
    • SC1
    • SC2
    • SC3
    • SC4
    • SC5
    • SC6
    • SC7
  • Vacate by 11 pm Friday
    • SC16
    • SC32
    • SC35
    • SC36
    • SC41

Special signed spaces (Gold, Accessible, Service, Business, Commercial Vehicle, etc.) will require appropriate permits and remain enforced at all times.

Note: SC10 gate will be closed at 11pm on Friday and only accessible via radio. If you have a U-M-supplied radio, you can open the gate to access the area during the closure. If you think you may be scheduled to work during that time and may need your radio reprogrammed, please contact the radio shop prior to the day of the event. The gates will reopen on Sunday morning.

The EV Charger locations in SC7 and SC32 are not available for U-M Fleet vehicle charging unless operationally necessary.
