Observatory Street Lane Closure Expected to start on Monday, September 14, and last into late September, lane closures will be in effect on Observatory Street between East Medical Center Drive and East Ann Street for utility work associated with the Detroit Observatory Classroom and Accessibility Addition project and work at the Simpson Memorial Institute. Only northbound Observatory Street traffic will be maintained. MED-EXPRESS Expected to start on Monday, September 14, and last into late September, lane closures will be in effect on Observatory Street between East Medical Center Drive and East Ann Street for utility work associated with the Detroit Observatory Classroom and Accessibility Addition project and work at the Simpson Memorial Institute. Only northbound Observatory Street traffic will be maintained. MedExpress will follow Move-In Detour. MedExpress will follow regular route to the Taubman Inbound Stop, then: Follow East Medical Center Drive to E. Hospital Dr at MOTT hospital (at the traffic signal) Turn Right (north) on E. Hospital Dr. at the traffic signal. Service the temporary stop near the Old Mott entrance. Follow E. Hospital Dr around the parking structure to Simpson Dr. Take a Left onto Simpson Drive, continue to East Medical Center Drive. Turn Left (east) on East Medical Center Drive Resume regular route at the Mott / Markley stop. WALL ST. EXPRESS Expected to start on Monday, September 14, and last into late September, lane closures will be in effect on Observatory Street between East Medical Center Drive and East Ann Street for utility work associated with the Detroit Observatory Classroom and Accessibility Addition project and work at the Simpson Memorial Institute. Only northbound Observatory Street traffic will be maintained. Wall Street Express AM/PM will follow Move-In Detour. Passengers will be instructed to catch the bus on the hospital side of East Med. After leaving the NIB, buses will: Turn left on Kingsley Turn left on State Turn left on Huron Turn left on Zina Pitcher Turn right on West Med Service a temporary stop on West Med at East Med Turn left on East Med Resume regular route Wall Street-NIB buses headed towards North Ingalls will NOT be on detour.
