Parking Alert – Thayer Parking Structure Concrete & Waterproofing Repairs

Construction improvements are planned to begin at Thayer Parking Structure on Monday, April 18, and are expected to extend until mid-August. With school still in session, work over the initial weeks will be quiet/low noise. The project will also be paused during the Art Fair in July.

The project scope includes:
  • partial depth floor and curb repairs (covered levels)
  • ceiling, beam, column and wall repairs (covered levels)
  • waterproofing repairs and striping
  • brick tuckpointing, repairing broken connections at vehicle barrier ramps and painting railings
  • replacement and supplemental floor drains with spot drain pipe repairs
Up to 120 spaces will be closed during the project to advance completion of the work. Signage will be posted within the structure indicating any space closure areas and alterations to traffic flow.
